WHAT WE OFFER FOR PRE-PRIMARY CHILDREN
Age 3 to 6 is an exciting time of life, so our classes and activities are positioned to enable children to enjoy age appropriate learning that will help prepare them for Grade 1 and beyond.
ACADEMIC CLASSES
We offer four classes during school terms, each with age-appropriate teaching in line with CAPS, the curriculum of the South African National Department of Basic Education. These are Grade 000, Grade 00 and Grade R. All our classes are intentionally kept small and we have a full staff compliment to match the demands of our child intake.

SCHOOL OUTINGS
Each Pre-Primary class goes on an outing every year, which offers a new and exciting experience. Some of the places we’ve visited are:
- Giraffe House
- Crocodile farm
- Aquarium
- Butterfly World
- Monkey Town
- Ostrich farm
- Planetarium
- World of Birds
- The Beach
- Climbing Tyger Hill

EXTRA MURALS
To further broaden their learning experience, children in pre-primary can participate in the range of extra murals offered at Buzzi Bees during playtime. These are:
- Mondays: Speech and drama
- Tuesdays: Build Em Brix
- Wednesdays: Soccer Stars, Musikgarten and Experibuddies
- Thursdays: Dancing and pottery
- Fridays: ACS Gymnastics, Playball and Click-A-Mouse
As external vendors arrange and run these activities, they will advise you of the fees for your child to participate. These fees are payable directly to the vendor. They typically offer one free class at the start of the year, so children can try a new activity before deciding whether to enrol for the extra mural.

OCCUPATIONAL AND SPEECH THERAPY
An occupational therapist and a speech therapist are available to meet with children in our pre-primary classes, if necessary. Meetings are arranged between the therapist and parents, and fees are arranged with and payable directly to the vendor for their services.
AFTERCARE FACILITIES
Aftercare is held for children in our Pre-Primary classes after the school day from 13h00. Children need to be fetched by latest 18h00. Our teaching assistants supervise the afternoon activities, which start with a tasty and balanced lunch before rest and playtime.

Our Aftercare programme is:
